THE LIVE WORKSHOPS ARE VERY HELPFUL SUPPLEMENTSTO THE PROGRAM!

"I'm still working to implements all the strategies within The Design Paradigm. I would watch the videos online prior to the live sessions and that would help me come prepared with any questions that I had. It was also helpful to hear other designers questions and hear what they are going through and see how other people are handling similar situations."

Processes

We all need a reminder sometimes. A guidepost to help navigate what’s next. A refresher on ways to catch our mistakes and how to prepare well for our team’s or client’s expectations.

But most of all – we need systems to be able to define what we do, how we do it, and to create the foundation for training an amazing team to collaborate with us! Where do you start with defining these systems, outlining them, and making the checklists that capture all the ins and outs???

From the ground up, just like any good design! Work with us in determining the best way to structure your processes into an organized outline that brings a project from A to Z. And as a bonus we’ll work in the details of tracking time, budgeting a job, organizing project details and specs, capturing your project management.

  • From the first time we speak with a new lead, we know that we are starting to build a foundation with them for what they’ll expect of us – how we speak, what our values are, and why we do what we do.

  •  What questions must you ask? And to what end result are you aiming for as you wrap up the initial discovery call with a prospect in relation to the conversion of the call to a booked consult appointment?

  • We’ll cover this and more as we explore why these first steps set the stage for your entire relationship and involvement in a project, and how this is your opportunity to really carve out a special place in your clients heart for your team and their trust in your abilities!

  • Consider whether your questionnaire gets to the heart of the psychology of your clients needs, or is it just a wishlist for their perusal?

  •  Focus on the show stopping presentation and not the myriad of details so important to us but less to the client. Wow them with solving their problems and bringing a vision to life and you will never have a single issue with a client again.

  • We will explore what this means in your company, why we present what we do when we do (and how to evaluate what’s best when both for your needs and the client’s based on the scope they’re committed to!), and how to illicit good conversation, feedback and questions during the presentation so that the client feels heard and understands that your rationale while perhaps something they have not considered, is a valuable perspective because of X Y and Z

  •  Pushing through the final 10% of a project can be the most difficult - but ensuring that you cross every T and dot every last I on the wrap up deliverables ensures you will get the best opportunity for great pictures and demonstrate to the client that even in the 11th hour their project means MUCH to you.

Client Management

We all have expectations. Sometimes they're set in reality. Sometimes they're based on assumptions.

In this industry, we can't leave a lot for interpretation and part of the reason for that is because the trust a client has in your ability to guide them is so important to a fruitful working relationship.

You have to know how to set the tone so that anyone who shows up to your door can feel comfortable that you will be a good steward of their funds and guide them professionally through the process to get them to a productive end result.

Who is your ideal client? What personalities resonate with you and your process? How can you reach these gemstone magical unicorn people and ensure they want to be a part of what you're about, too?

While it takes a bit of reverse engineering, delving into this analysis helps you understand who you are up against and what sort of trends come along with these archetypes. Even the seemingly defiant clients are just looking to be heard - and here we'll set the tone for how to cultivate this dialogue in your business so you can continue that exploration of seeking to understand.

  • Develop the knowledge and muscle memory about how to collaborate with your ideal clients, the more likely the content you put out there on social media, your website, and in your portfolio will reflect the exact type of client you want. Let them find you... and be sure you are prepared once they do to make every dream they have come true!

  • Challenge the client to think bigger and dig deeper so that as you onboard their project you start to learn how to best communicate with them, what excites them or stresses them about this process, and lay the groundwork for the type of experience you want them to have with your firm.

  • We'll cover everything  from crafting a killer client introduction that speaks to your brand to how to best communicate with clients via email.

  • How to develop the confident voice that you need to carry a project to the finish line with grace and continued composure (even amongst all the bullshittakes we know are lying out there waiting for us!)

  • Learn how to craft a warranty & care guide (and present it all decked out and gorgeous like you would the story boards in your first preso!), communicate with your clients on how photos will work, and initiate the wrap up that will get you a killer review (and maybe even some repeat business!)

    • The budget tug of war - from start to finish
    • Educating the client on why you are indispensable to the project
    • Evaluating the client archetypes
    • How to find  your ideal client
    • Making the first impression stick and identifying wants and needs

    • The wrap up documentation - keeping clients informed even after the project is finished
